Praveenkoshah: The Encyclopedic Dictionary of Ayurved

Abstract
The basic language of Ayurveda is Sanskrit and its terminology is vividly elaborated by commentators in different time periods. This seems essential to bring such comprehensive views of all the commentators at a single place. To overcome the difficulty associated with understanding of the terminology, this Encyclopedia has been published. It consists of Sanskrit definition of specific words by commentators, its Hindi explanation and also an English equivalent of the same word. This work may present as a great support for Teaching, Learning and Research in Ayurveda. It has been envisioned to make the readers ‘praveen’ or proficient in Ayurvedic terminology so that they become well-equipped to understand any treatise of this ancient science of wisdom named Ayurveda.
